– If you are going to run one marathon a year, is it better to run it in the spring or fall?

– I assume this is mostly personal preference, but I always ran better in the fall because the weather was getting cooler and everything just felt so much better, as if it was finally clicking. To me, the chance of a race being warmer than you’re accustomed to (and therefore more likely to turn into a death march) is higher in the spring, but it’s going to be a dice roll in the end.
